Just as no two candle scents are alike, neither are rooms in which candles are used. Size does matter when trying to properly distribute the amount of candle scent in any room.

Start by doing a little bit of measuring and math while also exercising trial and error. This will make choosing the ideal candle size and burn time for a room much easier.

But, it's not so simple that you can just light a larger candle and rely on it to adequately disburse scent in a bigger room. It's also not correct to assume that a petite votive or pillar candle will be good enough for a significantly smaller room, like a bath.

Dreams Alive Magazine:

Time for a New Perspective
As much as we enjoy creating and publishing the Dreams Alive Magazine, we are still learning how to best go about making it profitable. The issue of low profit places the magazine as a drain on our time and resources, which often leads us to releasing the issue late since it must take a back seat to other aspects of our business that are profitable. We had made changes over the past few years in attempts to correct this issue, but we somehow kept missing the mark. We do not want the magazine to be viewed as a drain on resources and we desire to continue to release this magazine for years and years to come, so we were determined to make sweeping changes to resolve our problems, before we released the first issue of 2006...which is why this issue is very late ;) .

Our first step was to eliminate or automate as much of each issue as possible. We redesigned navigation and either eliminated or reconfigured any aspect of the magazine that required us to spend too much setup time. We then determined that all issues from this time forward will only include articles where we had a paid advertisement that could be placed on the page...ensuring that some of our time was compensated. This doesn't mean the article contributor themselves need to buy advertising, it just means that, for example, if we are to place an article in the garden section of the magazine, somebody needs to have purchased a gardening related DVA (Dynamic Vertical Ad) or there will be no article set in place. Bottom line, if you want to guarantee that an article you submit is published, you need to purchase an ad for that page, otherwise, it will depend upon whether somebody else had purchased ad space for that category.

New Page Layouts Increase Search Engine Traffic
We have initiated an upgrade that moves the left hand side navigation bar to the right hand side on the shop listing pages. See an updated shop listing here. Now the search engines will more readily and easily read the information provided within the shop listing and will not be adversely affected by our navigation links. This new layout increases the accuracy of what the page is determined to be by the search engines and in turn, leads to a higher level of targeted traffic, while also reducing some non-productive random traffic.
