Resolutions
We almost all make resolutions for the new year. Usually a list of what we don't want to do in the new year. I have a different take on making new year's resolutions. Instead of making resolutions of what we won't do, how about making a list of resolutions that we will do.
The best reason to do it this way, is that when we put thought energy into what we are not going to do, it's the same as putting thought energy into what we are going to do. So why not put all your thought energy for the new year into what you are going to do.
Which brings me to a senryu I wrote:
change to rearrange
resolute to evolute
take hold and be bold
It does give one a wonderful feeling to take and keep hold of resolutions. So in retrospect of any resolutions you made last year that you lost hold of, take them in your hands and move them forward into the coming new year in a more positive way by viewing them as goals to accomplish. For resolutions are made to change one's life for the better. That's why we all make them. So we can move forward into a more satisfying life for us and those we love around us.
On that note, I want to wish you all a Happy New Year and the best of luck in making your dreams come true through your goals, actions and thoughts as you hold fast to your resolutions in the coming new year.
