Little Feet
The tap tap and patter of little feet,
We all know you, we all love you .
The squeet of delight, what joy you bring.
Takes my breath away, and makes my heart sing.
Secure you feel in the warm embrace,
And the love you recognize, in your parents face.
The wonder of your one or two years,
Free in your beliefs and without fears.
Surprises in every direction, everything such fun.
Eyes a sparkle, you take off at a run.
Making bubbles in the bath, splashing water on the floor.
This is so much fun, give me more, give me more.
Whilst making sandcastles down at the beach,
In my frilly costume, I know I look a peach.
Then back home its dark, that means bedtime,
But not before Daddy reads me a nursery rhyme.
The center of attention, is what youll always be,
Just so long as you remain, of an age below three.
Tomorrow theres time again for the patter of little feet.
We all know you, Well always love you,
And that's real neat.
