How to Attract Hummingbirds to Your Garden

Visualize watching a bright green hummingbird in your garden moving from flower to flower in search of the tasty nectar within. These beautiful and tiny birds weigh about 2 to 20 grams and are found in a wide variety of environments from the high Andes to lowlands, and from dry desert areas to rainforests. They have slender beaks, extensible tongues, ten primary feathers, and tiny feet suitable for perching but not walking. Hummingbirds can fly straight up, straight down, backwards, left, right, and even upside down. While most birds obtain their flight strength only from the down stroke, hummingbirds have power on the up stroke as well.
Most hummingbirds flap their wings about fifty times a second and have a very fast heartbeat and high body temperature. They feed every ten minutes or so throughout the day and typically consume two-thirds of their body weight in a single day. We have been able to expand our issues to continuously include articles relating to "Health and Lifestyle", "Food and Drink", "How To" and "Just For Kids". The inclusion of these categories really helps us to provide a more well-rounded range of the topics you desire.

 The idea for the Articulation Series has been banging around in my head for quite a while. It really clicked into place after spending Christmas break playing with my nephews and their “Bionicle” action figures. The toys are mechanical and robot-like, but not high tech. That is an important point. I want the Articulation Series to have a sense of low tech, but be highly refined.
I have always been interested in an industrial aesthetic. This comes from my artist statement where I talk about growing up in an industrial town. This really shows in the Beauty Within Hall Table, particularly through the brackets holding up the top and the way they are attached to the base.
I see the Articulation Project as a kind of analog robotics technology. What a person in the early 20th century may have imagined a futuristic robot might be like.
Although the pieces have an overall “refined” feel, it is important to me that they still look hand made. That they retain a bit of an organic feel. This is why the deep, rubbed, patinated finish is so important. I also think that this plays off of my intrigue with the idea of natural vs. manmade. The Articulation Projects have a strong biomorphic sense that is inspired from insects, animals, and humans. Specifically how our joints work (i.e. knee vs. hip vs. ankle, etc.
Finally, there may be the question of “Why is this work so different from my other stuff”? I see it as an ego/alter-ego, ego/ID, yin/yang kind of thing. One side of my work is the Japanese-influenced, meditative design. This new series is tech-like and more aggressive.

Need Some Advice About Barrier Shrubs Or Trees

We live in a townhouse and there are 12 of us all in a row. Beneath us all is a large low income housing apartment complex.
We overlook their trash containers that are a mess and stuff is all over the place.
What kind of inexpensive shrubs and trees can we all plant to give us a barrier.......we don't like looking at the mess........
Everyone is really upset about this situation. Our property values are going to go down because of the Non-beautiful eye sore beneath us.
We are higher up........so we Do see a lot............ Thanks...........desperate owners.

Paint Schemes For Living Room

We are looking for the right color combination for our living room. We have an adobe earth color sofa, chair and ottoman, our end table is Ashley with various earth tone tiles in it, and a brown carpet. We currently have white walls and are looking for some ideas. We want the sterile look gone but don't really know what color will go well with our furniture.
