One of the easiest ways to add visual interest to your home's environment is to introduce texture. Classic rustic furnishings accomplishes this with both warmth and grace. Trees make wonderful, sophisticated accent pieces that compliment any decor. It adds instant personality to a home, office, patio, cabin or wherever you'd like to display these works of art. In recent years, rustic furniture has become quite trendy with decorators.
Can furniture be classified as art? Art is subjectively understood in accordance to each person's individual taste. Working in rustic styles is a very interpretive process. Interior designers with whom we have worked, select our furnishings to attain a certain ambiance to a room. As accent pieces, they blend well with most every type of furniture. It invites many people to reestablish their rich interconnectedness with nature and simpler times, or it may remind them of the last get a way spent at their vacation home...
In our apartment, in order to create a seperate living room and kitchen space we needed a divider. At first we tried placing the couch perpendicular to the wall, but it was too long and there wasn't any room to walk through. Now we have the couch against a wall, and are using a stand-up piano in the same sense. It creates a larger living room and leaves plenty of room to walk by. The only problem now is ...
My new apartment has dark grey carpeting in the living room. I'm having a difficult time visualizing the light wheat color that I was hoping to use to give the room some warmth.
Does anyone have any color suggestions for achieving this? There is a fair amount of baseboard and window trim, which I would like to leave white.

Designing Online's Home and Garden Resource directory has been given a fresh new look! In addition to the obvious new page header, many subtle changes were made to ensure it's easier to navigate within the directory and also to ensure that other directories and search engines can also read and index the information better than before.
The index will shortly be expanded to highlight many of the specials, sales and events of the websites listed within. It is our intention to create an environment that is genuinly helpful to all our visitors and to those listed there as well. A wonderful balance will be created that will benefit all.
We have also just included a link to the Home and Garden forum at the bottom of all resource pages. Our existing forum has been in place for quite some time, but we are currently developing a much more sophisticated version which will be available soon. You are all invited to start dropping by often and help us get that off the ground.

What do you need to do to be a part of the magazine? All you need to do is provide the data...the article or poetry or recipe or painting, etc. and we do the rest. We create the html for the page layout. We provide a picture for an article if you did not have one to provide. We extract keywords and phrases and a page description for your item so that search engines will index it best. We advertise and promote the magazine throughout many different places on the Internet and we have regular paid submissions to the primary search engines and directories.

Article Reproduction
Any article within Dreams Alive Magazine that is written by an author who has agreed to be included in our Pre-Approved list, may be reproduced without further need of approval, as long as you follow some very simple guidelines, such as providing reciprocal links, holding onto bio info, etc.
This is such an easy way to add content to your website without having to dig endlessly for Home and Garden articles. We often find many articles we would love to use, but there is either no indication of re-print rights or even any contact info. We have gone so far beyond this by coming right out and saying..."This author has approved the use of their article and here is all the information you need.".
Even for those authors not on the Pre-Approved list, each article is provided with contact information that will allow you to easily contact the author. Their answer to you will almost always be yes. Some authors just prefer better tracking.
