Dreams Alive Magazine Updates and Opportunities
Updates:
- Article submissions to our magazine are also now being used at the Decorating, Gardening and Home Improvement Centers of Designing Online. In addition, due to the popularity of our Free Content Article Feeds, over 82,000 article introductions were displayed last month on dozens of different websites.
Opportunities:
- We would like to encourage artists and photographers to select or create images that would be great for use as our cover and send them to us for review. Each approved and used image would include an acknowledgement and link back to the authors website or e-mail address. Since our magazine is released seasonally, we generally search for indoor, outdoor or creative abstracts of each season. You will be welcome to send as many selections as you desire, providing they follow the guidelines below
- The image must be at least 750 pixels wide and 900 pixels tall, without having been stretched to that size. Clarity is important.
- Since our magazine title and main topics exist on the left side of the cover, it's best if that area is not "busy" to the point where it is difficult to read. If you look at most of our cover images, you will see what we mean.
- For images that are of different dimensions, your images will be cropped, not stretched to fit. Also, for images that are much larger than needed, we will proportionally resize them to the proper size and then crop as necessary.
- Send all submissions in jpg, bmp, psp or tif format. If you do use JPG, do not compress more than 15%.

Changing color of custom drapes

Help! I am in the process of changing the color theme in my bedroom, I have a huge bay window with beautiful custom drapes covering it. My problem, I don't want to change the drapes but they are a very light peach color (satin material, I think) I want to go with a green moss shade, can my drapes be dyed????

Issue with large wall

My living room has a fireplace with brick and a large white mantel piece and white bookshelves on each end. I have a cherry wood china cabinet and several other wood pieces. It is a long room with long windows at the end. I have a love seat beside the fireplace and then a sofa (both blue and white checkered) in front of the fireplace running the length of the room. My problem is there is a long wall behind the sofa that is currently blank. I don't know what to do with this wall. Am thinking about purchasing a large mirror for it, maybe in a wood frame. Would I want to put anything under the mirror? Maybe a console table? Any suggestions would be so appreciated. Thanks!
