Letter To The Editor - David Nelmes, press releases, feedback, ideas, criticisms, designing online, online magazine, dreams alive, articles, poetry, submissions, advertising, home ideas

Hello!

You'll notice that this issue is a little "thinner" than normal. Last issue we announced that we will start publishing monthly instead of quarterly, starting in 2005. The changes seen in this issue are part of that transition as we prepare to make things easier to work with. It is our desire that by releasing a smaller, but more timely magazine, we will better be able to provide current information and publish articles much more quickly after having received them.

The design and creation of each issue is somewhat a labor of love, but without your article and finacial contributions, this magazine would not exist. To help ensure this magazine continues to grow, send us your article, recipes, poetry and art work so that our time is not spent searching for material. Providing pictures with your article is a huge time saver for us as well.

On an average, it costs us nearly $100 to create, publish and advertise each article, so as a FYI...if you place an article, consider placing an ad as well if you can afford it. All things work together for good.

This Christmas season, let us remember that the time for sacrifice ended 2000 years ago and a time of sharing began...still exists and will continue to do so. After all, sharing is really just a matter of providing what you may temporarily have more of to those who may temporarily have less. Nobody loses...nobody gains...things just become more even.

Have a great Christmas Season!

-- David Nelmes

Letters

To Dreams Alive Magazine,

I have just found Dreams Alive Magazine, and what a joy it is.Quality and caring is evident in every item. I am a writer and Publisher ( Golden Times Magazine)in Prince Edward Island. The magazine is a bi-monthly targetted to " active people fifty years plus " and distributed free in 10,000 copies throughout the province . I will be interested in reprinting occasional articles folowing the directions you have included. Thank you for a very professional piece of work .

Have a nice day,

Jack

Hi David,

I read your piece "Why Isn't God Helping You", and I've got to hand it to you. You've shown how easy it is for all of us to blur the line between being CONTENT with what we have, and being COMPLACENT about what we have. The latter says "I never have enough" you're always griping about something all the time. The former says while "I may not have the best of everything, I'll make the best of everything I have".

The former takes things in stride. The latter takes things for granted. The word TRUST is hard for us humans to understand. Mainly because we've been flim-flammed so much, that we close off everything around us. God wants us to TRUST in Him during these tough times and even in good times. He gives us 2 choices, either wait and let Him lead the way. Or get ahead of Him and be in the way.

Good Piece,

Chester

Dear Mr. Nelmes:

I was so surprised to open my E-mail and find your reply. I never thought that I'd get an answer back and so soon. I've read your response to my question and it brought tears to my eyes. It really touched my heart and I will try with God's help to apply this in our lives. Thank you so much and God Bless You!

Sincerely,

Linda
