Oh, Steve
There’s nothing I would rather do
Than sail the afternoon with you,
The ocean’s calling you and me
To set our sails, and be carefree.
Let’s get on board, don’t hesitate,
You steer the course, I’ll navigate,
An afternoon with just us two,
You lead the way, I’ll be your crew.
You’ve said that there is no sensation,
Like hull and water’s hummed vibration,
That there is nothing like the sea
To make a soul completely free.
So, push the rudder, pull the sheets,
Our hearts will match the ocean’s beats,
We’ll daringly increase our pace,
With roaring wind on lifted face.
So, come on Steve, don’t make me wait,
We’ll let the ocean seal our fate,
You’ve coaxed me to try something new,
So, yes, I’ll sail the seas with you!
