- Eerie Entrance™ Turns Front Storm Door Into Halloween Candy Dispenser -

This Halloween, homeowners can now greet trick or treaters without having to constantly open and close their storm door to pass out candy, thanks to the new Eerie Entrance™ Halloween Candy Door.

The Eerie Entrance serves as a festive Halloween decoration for the front of a home while the die-cut swing-out doors allow Halloween hosts to pop out and distribute candy and treats to hungry costumed ghouls and goblins. Each side of the doors have one inch die -cut holes that serve as a way to see who is outside and to use as handles to help open and close the doors.

The Eerie Entrance is easy to set up. Simply remove the existing window or screen in the storm door and replace it with the lightweight, reinforced corrugated cardboard Eerie Entrance.

The Eerie Entrance is 74 -1/2" H x 30-1/4" W to fit standard 36-inch storm doors and can be easily trimmed with a utility blade to fit smaller doors. Each comes printed on one side with the words "Trick or Treat" and Halloween artwork in contrasting orange on black. The Eerie Entrance folds in half for easy storage until next Halloween.

Bob Kopach, an Elmhurst, Illinois resident normally takes two days off of work every year to prepare his home for Halloween. Seeing his wife and other neighbors trying to manage passing out treats while trying to hold the door open with their hip gave him the idea to invent a Halloween door that would both add to the décor and make passing out candy much easier.

Updates:

• New Improved Magazine Format and Distribution
  With a 2 to 3 month span between the release of each issue of Dreams Alive Magazine, there is a substantial curve of interest in the magazine that is at a high point when an issue first releases and then gradually fades off to a much smaller, but steady rate of interest afterwards, with guaranteed spikes in interest as seasons return each year. We have made significant changes over the past five years to improve the look, feel and navigation of the magazine, and now, we have created an entirely new system of distributing the magazine.
   
  Issues will now be released in tandem with our RSS Home and Garden Articles Feeds. To ensure we get the greatest effect from this, an issue will now be released with a small series of base articles and then additional articles will be released within that issue as the weeks go by. Each article release will also be submitted through our RSS Home and Garden Articles Feed.
   
  In a nutshell, instead of releasing the entire issue all at once, each issue will now grow gradually over the term and season of the issue, taking advantage of RSS and Newsletters to help our readers focus and find items of interest. The issue will conclude with all articles intact as though presented that way in the first place, but we believe our article contributors and advertisers will gain a tremendous increase in attention and interest since each primary article will be presented on a plate for you, our readers to enjoy.
   
  We desire that Dreams Alive Magazine becomes a part of your week, not just a part of your season. It may take us an issue or two to work out some of the smaller details, but our overall goal of eliminating the time lapse between issues, will have been accomplished.
• Articles Are Easier To Find Than Ever!
  We have just concluded the creation of our Article and Author Database. Now, in addition to looking through each issue for articles, you can look at all articles from all issues that are associated with a specific category. You are bound to find many articles of interest that have been here all along...but you just couldn't find them.
   
  Another great feature is sorting the articles by Author. Now you can easily find all the articles ever written by your favorite authors...and for those of you with website content needs, the article reprint rights are clearly specified as to whether you can freely place the articles on your website as well.

Opportunities:

• One aspect of our magazine that often includes massive searching and time consuming modifications, is the selection and creation of our magazine cover. Since the cover is a large image, many of the images submitted to us along with articles, cannot be considered.
• We would like to encourage artists and photographers to select or create images that would be great for use as our cover and send them to us for review. Each approved and used image would include an acknowledgement and link back to the authors website or e-mail address. Since our magazine is released seasonally, we generally search for indoor, outdoor or creative abstracts of each season. You will be welcome to send as many selections as you desire, providing they follow the guidelines below
  • The image must be at least 750 pixels wide and 900 pixels tall, without having been stretched to that size. Clarity is important.
  • Since our magazine title and main topics exist on the left side of the cover, it's best if that area is not "busy" to the point where it is difficult to read. If you look at most of our cover images, you will see what we mean.
  • For images that are of different dimensions, your images will be cropped, not stretched to fit. Also, for images that are much larger than needed, we will proportionally resize them to the proper size and then crop as necessary.
  • Send all submissions in jpg, bmp, psp or tif format. If you do use JPG, do not compress more than 15%.
